Yummmmm

I am at home with the kids today and was starting to feel the autumn chill. What better way to beat the cold than with a pumpkin latte:). Of course it is inspired by the Starbucks version but after adding way more sugar than usual, mine is equally delicious. Obviously I have impressed myself so much that I needed to share it with all of you!! Lol

Hurricane Sandy

We really lucked out and just got a lot of wind and some rain. No serious flooding.

Regardless, we had two extra days off school and work.

A little monopoly during the storm?

Happy Halloween HURRICANE!!

Unfortunately, we might not have the chance to see our jack-o-lanterns lit this week!  

Hurricane Sandy is on a mission to ruin our Halloween festivities!! 

Although we have our costumes ready, it looks like we may be indoors during this mega-storm!!

Regardless of the forecast, the kids decided to carve their pumpkins Friday night with the neighbor kids.  

 They made quite the scene in our front yard!

 I don't know if you have noticed how cute the girls look, no matter what they do with pumpkin guts.  The boys, however.....

 I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!

 They began by working very hard on their creation, but then the guts hit the fan!

 Or maybe it would be more accurate to say, the guts were flung at each other...

over and over again!

While the boys were acting like the little monsters they are, the girls were diligently creating their three eyed jack-o-lantern masterpiece!

 We are so happy to have neighbors kids who know how to have fun and be goofy!! 

Their squeals and screams are welcome in my yard any day!!

FOOTBALL FINALE!!!

 These two are my tough players before their last football game of the season!

 Really intimidating, aren't they?

They both had a great season and played their best!  We are proud of you!

Now we can take a break from the hustle and bustle....until Basketball Begins!!

Trent's first doe!!

Right before the sun went down tonight Trent Douglas shot his first deer. It's muzzle loader season which is apparently more difficult and he did it!!
Woo hoo!! We are so proud of your dream come true!! You are a true hunter and gamesman, Trent!!

Let's play some FOOTBALL!!

Many of our Saturdays have been spent watching flag football games...and can I say that we have enjoyed every minute of the season!!  Both of the kids (yes, Claire plays too) have good coaches, great team mates, and have had a blast playing!!

 Ayden makes a bee-line for the QB every time:)  

He is a great offensive and defensive player!!

 Way to hustle A-man!!

 Here was the catch of the season...he saw it right into his hands...

and the crowd went wild!!

 The only thing missing this week was his best bud, Dalton.  He may have a broken finger, but he is valuable on and off the field!! Way to be a team player, D!

 Here is Miss Claire...and her posse!

 

 This play by play was the most fabulous run of the season.  She blew everyone away!!  

It was AWESOME!!

Fall Fun at Seyfert's Corn Maze

Last weekend we went a corn maze with Tiffany's family. Lets just say it was really hard and took us almost two hours to get out.
This is what you do when you get desperate. :)




We were trying to see over the corn. Didn't work :(
We did finally get out and finished the evening with a good old hay ride.

Bike Race

A few weeks ago the whole family went to Jason's cyclocross race at the velodrome in trexlertown. The kids both raced the actual junior race. 40 mins on the same course as everyone else!
