Enjoying the beach at Gram and Grandad's beach house.

This was the view of the person sitting next to us. You can figure out who thought this was funniest

Niagara Falls

We had a wonderful day at Niagara Falls.  The kids were excited to enter Canada and were very impressed with the Falls. The Maid of the Mist was the highlight of the day and the rest of the day was spent shopping and walking....a lot!  By the end of the night we were totally spent!

I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

More fun!!

On the third day of vacation we visited the National Museum Of Play!! It was so fun!

Everything in the entire museum was interactive...and for all ages!! We could have spent two more hours there. Both the kids thought it was super cool.

Aunt MaryJane had fun too. When she was a young girl she used to go on dates to this very diner! Unbelievably they have moved the diner from Williamsport Pa to Rochester ...we had to have a seat in a booth and drink a root beer float just like she did in the 50s!

That evening we went to Rochester red wings baseball game. It was so fun...hot dogs, ice cream and fireworks really rounded out the night:)
Thanks again Aunt MJ and Uncle John!!

Keuka lake

We are on vacation this week in New York with my Aunt MaryJane and Uncle John. Lucky for us,they have a boat!!!

The weather was great yesterday...beautiful sunny skies and warm. Today was humid and stormy BUT we managed to beat the rain!!

Although Claire is not so ready to ski, she has found a new title...as Captain. I may see a future in this position. She enjoyed driving and being in control very much:)
We are having so much fun and are very thankful to have such loving people to share our time. I don't know if there is another vacation spot that I could love more than the lake.

Cirque de Soleil

Last night the kids went to see the Michael Jackson Cirque de Soleil show with Gram. They had a fantastic time and didn't get home until almost midnight! Here's a picture from before they left.

Dancing with Twitch

Last weekend, Ayden participated in a weekend dance workshop featuring his hero, Twitch. We started watching So You Think You Can Dance the summer before Ayden was in first grade. Watching Twitch dance on the show tweaked his interest in hip hop. He likes to say now, "Twitch inspired me" (he actually does say that).

He had a great time and worked his butt off.

Slip and slides never get old:)

My kids are 9 and nearly 11 years old but what is more fun than a slip and slide when it is 100 degrees outside??

My Christmas present - unpacked

...so Tiffany has been home for only three weeks and she's looking around for projects. Today, she and the kids put together the hammock they got me for Christmas. The kids and their friend Cameron are safety testing it for me... :)

Happy 9th birthday Claire

Claire's party was a huge success! As you can see, it was difficult to get a picture of such a busy girl...

She was fighting off friends... Mostly the boys:)

Ayden, on the other hand, enjoyed a peaceful game of checkers with our friend Mia.

This is the more loving side of friends Brett and Ryan

There she is again...planning her attack. She had an awesome time with her "rowdy" bunch of friends!!

The dogs were very sad that they couldn't join the party.

Yay! It's summer time! Relaxing by the pool.

Woo hoo! Time with cousins...finally!

The big ride

Ayden was motivated by his gym teacher to ride the tour de cure for diabetes. We rode 32 miles - it was the farthest Ayden has ever ridden. It's crazy to think that my first group ride was very similar to this... And it was exactly 20 years ago!

2.5 hours later...success. Great job Ayden!
